I work in most mediums, watercolours, acrylics, water-based oils, intaglio etching and mono printing. Watercolour would have to be my first love, it is such an unpredictable and spontaneous medium. I keep a large number of colours on my palette but choose only those colours most likely to convey the mood I want. I paint because I want to not because I have to. I’m infatuated with mood and mystery and more likely to find intrigue in a rainy day than a brilliant bright one. I have painted for most of my life and have artworks in collections in New Zealand and overseas.
