Muriwai Arts is a not-for-profit, community-led collective that celebrates and supports the vibrant creative spirit of Muriwai Beach and its surroundings. Nestled on the rugged west coast of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Muriwai Beach has long been a place of inspiration for artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creatives drawn to its wild beauty and strong sense of community.
We host a biennial exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of local artists spanning painting, sculpture, jewellery, and more, alongside live music and film events that bring people together through shared expression. From long-time residents to those who simply feel a strong connection to the coast, our artists reflect the richness and diversity of this unique place.
