As a multi-disciplinary practitioner, Mette’s art is centred on exploring the spaces between design, art, craft and science. Motivated by a life’s library of living and experiencing environments and cultures throughout the world and with nature as mentor, she engages the limits of communication through materiality, design and making practices across a wide range of disciplines. 

Working primarily with ‘ways of listening’ through multiple senses, she uses the transformation of sound into material form as a portal into her practice of creating objects and immersive spaces that explore the synergy between space and purpose, curiosity and wonder.
