Marion Stutz ( Maz ) works mainly in oil paints on canvas and wood block. She is a self-taught artist who returned to painting again after a very long hiatus in 2018. She has exhibited her work since 2020 in both solo and group exhibitions.

Her love of colour, open skies, clouds, seas landforms are referenced heavily in her own style in her work. She also loves to explore the nuances of still life and portraiture subjects.

Marion now lives predominantly in Mangawhai, where she runs a NZ native plant nursery with her husband, but has regular visits to the NW, including Muriwai.
