Alan Ashworth
Alan has lived at Muriwai Beach for the past nineteen years with his wife Gillian and two children Max and Katie. Alan has enjoyed photography for the past twenty four years, focusing on sports action and coastal scenery. Surfing is a passion of Alan’s, he has captured many of New Zealand’s top rated surfers on film over the years. Alan comes from a printing background of thirty years and was the creator of Kiwi Surf Magazine which has graced our magazine shelves since 1991. Over the past eight years Alan has been spending all his spare time producing a new surfing “journal” type magazine called Slide, a surfing publication catering to the passionate surfer. Slide is produced quarterly and showcases Alan’s global surf expeditions. His imagery brings the canvas alive with the raw energy from our untamed coastlines.
