Joanna Don
Jo is a local painter who has always been captivated by the vastness of the West Coast landscape, and has recently found inspiration in the incredible Gannets that live on Motutara Island. She spends time outdoors photographing the environment and then uses these images to paint from, simplifying forms, giving her work a sculptural feel. Joanna studied at Whitecliffe for Four years and has continued to study Art and paint in her own time.
