Joss Hong
Joss Hong, born and raised in New Zealand to Chinese parents has lived in Muriwai for over 15 years. Joss’s Asian heritage and living at Muriwai has formed a strong foundation for her designs. She also credits her inspiration to time living in London, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore and Italy, and going to Art School in Barcelona, where she further explored her passion for designing and crafting contemporary jewellery. There is no doubt that Joss’s background, personality and outlook is directly reflected in her work. Her innovative designs not only echo cherished symbols and values from the past, they are a highly original form of wearable art that celebrates life in a new yet timeless way. JOSS pieces are available at leading galleries including ESSENZE Design Store, Burning Issues and Govett-Brewster Art Gallery. Her Studio is open by appointment only.
